When GGG is supposed to fight the same size Canelo, a CW is ******.

Ward being a LHW who has not fought SMW since November of 2013, it makes sense for the two fighters to agree in the middle.

Just like it made sense for Floyd to use a CW with Canelo.

Floyd shouldn't have to fight GGG with him weighing at 150 and GGG over 170. That's too large of a gap.
Floyd was already a 2 time jr middleweight champion. Explain why it makes sense to insist on a catchweight for his (3rd) fight at 154 please.

Ggg/canelo is the talk by GBP/oscar but he still has to get past Cotto. Focus on that!

Cotto is a better boxer than Canelo... Cotto can outbox Canelo..and Canelo has stamina issues...

I actually think 155..isn't going be so easy for Canelo to make..Cotto will make the weight with no problem..

Cotto has the better trainer and more experience..but he's 35..

If Cotto can box for 12 rounds without tiring..he can definitely win this fight...

It is a b**** move should Cotto or Alvarez ask for a catchweight against Golovkin despite holding middleweight belts.

And I don't care which fighter you support these catchweights or are celebrating when these b**** moves prevent good fights from happening then you are a b****. Simple as.
Everyone wants as much advantage as they can. THIS INCLUEDES COTTO asking for catchweights.

I like Canelo better than Triple G = Canelo isn't ducking just really too small

Those same fans all had different opinions about catchweights etc. when it was Pacquiao, Mayweather or someone else they didn't "like" as much...

These lame fans are what allow their favorite fighters to duck the biggest threats to them..

Canelo is fighting Cotto..that's fine... but after this fight..what's next? More catch weight fights ducking Triple G?

Funny thing is that I bet Canelo has a hard time even making 155...he's so scared of Triple G..he's draining himself just to duck the fight..
Right, exactly like you did with Ward at 164, right ?

GGG is starting to become the househeld name in boxing, you salty, you mad fam?
Not a very intelligent assessment man.

They wanted Ward at 164, and they want the winner at 160.

Team Golovkin said " anyone from 154-168 ".....

But in truth..... they pull the big guys down, they pull the little guys up, and the difficult guys at 160 just get completely ignored

Why don't you develop some integrity and hold Team Hypekin to their lies ?

True but when you're a champ, much less The Champ, you got some responsibilities.

My interpretation of DLH's comment is that (in case Canelo becomes MW champion over Cotto at that ridiculous 155 catch weight which is almost in the JMW limit), Canelo will face GGG, at 160, after a couple of tune-up fights with lesser opponents so he can get used to fighting in that weight, even if he has to vacate the title temporarily for that.

Most people seem to imply that Canelo is a coward by avoiding a 160-pound fight with GGG in case he defeats Cotto. But let's see the other side of the story. How many times has GGG fought as a middleweight already? Check it yourself, a TON OF TIMES! That means he has an advantage in that weight limit, because he is evidently super-comfortable, experienced and proficient there.

Canelo has never, not once, fought at the REAL middleweight limit, 160. So he is not used to fighting in that division for real, like GGG is.

The exact same argument could work both ways then: Canelo is a coward if, in case he defeats Cotto, doesn't want to fight GGG at 160, the weight limit GGG is totally comfortable with, BUT by the same token, GGG would be a coward if he didn't want to fight Canelo at 155, the weight Canelo seems to be most comfortable with at this point. If he has stamina issues at 155, he will have even more (IOW will gas out even worse and sooner) at a 160-pound limit, so he needs to work on that with a couple of preparation fights if he doesn't want to be embarrassed by GGG.

Bottom line, I agree with the 160-pound limit being respected but I disagree with the "obligation" for Canelo to immediately fight at that weight limit against a super-experienced and dangerous rival fighting in that exact weight limit for several years now, while he (Canelo) has never ever fought a professional fight at such limit as of yet. As I mentioned, he needs to win at least a couple of successful tune-up fights with a couple top-ten MW fighters, to be at least a bit comfortable in such weight limit, just as GGG already is. Fair is fair!

                      Only one is Canelo's mandatory
Only one is remotely competitive. Rios? WTF!

Canelo and Goldenboy are scared as ****.

If GGG is so bad, such a Coward, then why is Canelo running scared?

You want to hide around everyone else. Deflect towards other fights.

Canelo going to look like a straight ***** if he vacates to duck GGG, but then continues to fight at MW.

Hell, he'll look like a ***** if he goes back to 154 where he hasn't fought at since Sep. 2013.

Heck, Canelo is just gonna look like a ***** if he doesn't fight GGG.

But sure, he is the next great Mexican boxer!

                      Duran?
                      Trinidad?
                      Chevez?

None would vacate to duck GGG.

Canelo can kiss that legacy goodbye.

Don't worry, GGG scared the crap out of other fighters too.
                      Trinidad is not Mexican.
