But op still has a point. Spence gets all this hype fighting as bottom tier opponents as it gets, a guy like Amir Imam who's last 6 opponents are all better than anyone spence has fought, yet imam doesn't get near the same hype.

Shit, let's break it down to it's zero sum game, and say if you aren't challenging for a title by your 2nd fight, you're nothing.

He is just a beginner. His opposition is about average for a guy on the way up. I believe in him and I think they could put him in with the best and he would still win. The only boxers with a responsibility to fight the best are title holders. However his team wants to bring this great prospect along is fine with me. If and when he wins a world title I would hope he defends it against top 10 world rated boxers.

I pay zero attention to hype. I go by what my eyes tell me. My eyes tell me Spence has a great future and will become a great champion soon enough. I am wrong a lot but right or wrong I make up my own mind based on what I see.

I think Spence is a great prospect but I never liked Broner.
