The rearranged all-Birmingham clash between Sam Eggington (17-2, 9 KOs) and Frankie Gavin (22-2, 13 KOs) could take place at the end of February or the beginning of March next year.
Boxing Scene was advised earlier that the welterweight bout would likely be staged in Birmingham after originally being pencilled in for earlier this month (October 17). This was postponed after Gavin sustained a foot injury. The rest of the card, however, featuring the likes of Matthew Macklin and Kal Yafai, still went ahead.
