  • Erica Farias Fires Shots At Ronda Rousey Over Ring Magazine

The boxing world has been abuzz this week with the announcement of The Ring Magazine’s decision to have MMA women’s champion Ronda Rousey grace it’s cover in its next issue. The move itself to have Rousey on the was a brilliant decision for the magazine because it garnered so much attention and whether that attention was positive or negative it got people talking.

One of those people is Argentinean women’s WBC super lightweight champion “La Pantera” Erica Anabella Farias (22-1, 10 KO’s). Farias questions Rousey wanting to fight retired pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather and issues a challenge for Rousey to fight her instead.

“The prestigious US magazine (The Ring) decided to put the ring on its top MMA champion Ronda Rousey. It’s a very Controversial decision considering how many great boxers deserving landing on the magazine cover before her,” said Farias via social media. “The Yankee defies Floyd Mayweather but remember that if you want to be the world champion you will have to face me. The lightweight and super lightweight world champion of the WBC is in Argentina !!! I wait for you.”

Farias continued, “Ronda is a bird that fights in a cage. I am a panther that fights in the ring!”

Farias as well as any other fighters would be a good test for Rousey to see if she is the real deal and can hang with the top fighters in women’s boxing. Should Rousey make the move would she want to gradually step to the top fighters?

Since turning pro in July of 2009, Farias has fought and beat some of the best names in women’s boxing including Melissa Hernandez. She suffered her first loss of her career in 2014 and since then has come back to win her following three fights including a split decision over Alejandra Marina Oliveras.

Ronda deserves to be on the cover of Ring Magazine. Boxing needs the exposure that Ronda will bring. She could easily quit MMA and win all the titles in the women's division and probably move up to the men's division and beat most of those guys.

She could probably KO Manny at this point. She's bigger and she won a bronze in the Olympics. Manny is great but he never accomplished that.

        Beautiful.
        Precision.
        Champion.

Are words that I would use to describe Ronda Rousey.

No problem with Ronda on Ring Mag but this is the same guys who think Gonzalez is P4P 1 shows they're haters of Wladimir nothing more.

Yeah because when people walk by their stall and look at magazines they'll recognize who the fuq that is.
                    Ronda Rousey = Ratings
Not Ronda's fault that female boxing isn't anywhere near as good as female MMA, blame Dana White and the Fertita brothers for giving even exposure to both ***es those evil bunch.
