I also don't believe cotto can beat canelo in a game of attrition and toe to toe.....cotto is the smaller fighter and in my opinion canelo has the superior firepower if it's in close....cotto best way of winning is in and out with combos and gradually wear canelo down...he has to be a box puncher to win this fight and he has to take canelo into the later part of the fight....that's my take on itAmen Bernstein. When Roach fighters can offensively overwhelm their opponents, they all look like world beaters. But it is also sometimes their downfall as he said. Roach, while I admit is a very good trainer (even though I cannot stand who he is as a person), only knows how to teach offense. I think Cotto coming forward and trying to take out Canelo may end up with Cotto being laid out and bloodied. Cotto's face does not hold up to much punishment at all so I think if he uses his boxing skills and footwork/defense he will do better against Canelo. Also if Kirkland, Angulo and Mosley could not drop or hurt Canelo, I do not see Cotto being able to do it.Comment

Cotto Haters please stand up!!! lol
Hey, I am a Cotto Fan, but this "assesment" is going to be %100 neutral.
-Al Bernstein has never been in a ring as a fighter. (That is huge a credential in my book)
-Bernstein states " I THINK Canelo prob will win becuase COTTO IS AN ATTACKER NOW...." That is very a innacurate assesment,:
1-Cotto agaisnt Delvin was attacking pretty much all the time (straight forward attack) (Yes, Bernstein, Cotto was an attacker in this fight)
2-Against Martinez he basically moved, used angles to connect his POWER PUNCHES AND COMBINATIONS, he Counterpunched and outboxed Martinez (disable legs or not) (NOT AN ATTACKER ONLY, Very Versatile attack game plan)
3-Cotto basically Outboxed and Counterpunched Geale until he connected very solid shots, then he SWITCHED TO AN "ATTACKER"
I have to disagree with Bernstein's perception that Cotto's new style is an "attacker" like just straightforward attack while blocking punches. Cotto has looked much more "mobil" in the ring, dancing on his feet, looking for angles while trying to "penetrate" (no ****, lol) the opponent's defense with power combinations.... Cotto's boxing skills are comparable to any great boxer out there. He is DEFINITELY MORE than just an "attacker"
Mr Bernstein please go back to hiding in a corner. I would like to hear what you say after NOV 21.

I agree with the 3 fights assessment, this fight will be very difficult to Cotto only because of Canelo's power / sizeCotto Haters please stand up!!! lol
