It's not about preparing, it's about looking like a monster.

Ward did look pretty scary vs Paul Smith.

He's fighting at 175, what can you say. He is taking that step. Just hopefully he can develop before fighting Kovalev or it will be ugly for him.

Relax a lil, he is moving up in weight. A smart boxer wouldn't challenge a champ on his first bout in his division.

I bet you were one of those people who criticized GGG, a small middleweight, for wanting to face huge Carl Froch in his backyard in his first fight at 168, though huh? Funny how when Ward does something, we need to relax, but if GGG went on a 2 year layoff after Lemieux, fought Paul Smith as a comeback fight, then fought 2 more bum tuneups, he'd be the laughing stock of boxing.

Can you imagine if GGG pulled 2 crappy Jr.MW up to MW

So Ward cleans out SMW, and to get ready for LHW he drags SMW up to LHW, and gives them weeks to train.

Funny thing is, some of you Ward fans are acting like this is a stroke of bravery, while then hitting GGG.

                  The ****!

Tune up after tune up. Even worse, these are bad as far as tune ups go. With a new 3 fight deal signed with HBO, we are likely to see Ward face a limited fighter next (with the last fighter was rejected by the NSAC), then a somewhat credible fighter and finally the big fight with Kovalev – should the two teams come to an agreement.

Here is my theory. Ward is fighting SMW because he doesn't want Crusher. He wants to bide his time hoping he can Force GGG into a match up. Once he is faced with Crusher, he'll contract himself out. He'll ask for too much, demand it's in Oakland, etc.

The boxing public will potentially have waited almost 5 years for Ward to face a big name by the time he is ready.

But hey, defend Ward and hit GGG, that doesn't at all look suspect.

Every one of you Ward fans need to pipe down about GGG. Ward has spent the last few years looking for fighters below him. But, but, but, GGG needs to fight a LHW. What the **** is wrong with you

Ward's crap fight is on PPV, not the main event, and not coming out of HBO's budget. Can't muster enough care to get angry about it.

                    Don't need to imagine.

GGG fought everyone who would fight him. Ward fought and cleaned out a whole division. ggg is doing the same. These are the guys you choose to hate on. Amazing talk to me when they lose or cherry pick like Floyd next hate on chocolito he is undefeated too
