people dont seem to realise that ricky hatton can actually box too. he can mix it up, and is a very good boxer, but his relentless pressure style works so well that he hasnt needed to mix it up in any of his recent fights.

Magee just happends to come out of the who needs him club, a guy who never really got the breaks. Probably cos he came from the other side of the pond. A world class fighter for sure with a wicked right hook

Next Gen of Boxing Stars From Boxingscene.com
Many have complained to me recently about the lack of prospects in the sport of boxing. Actually I find this to be quite untrue as we have a new crop of champions and those that are ready to fight for world titles in Samuel Peter, Jeff Lacy, Jermain Taylor, Luis Collazo, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton, Juan Diaz, Zahir Raheem, Humberto Soto, Rocky Juarez and others.

people are gonna underestemate hatton just like they did calzone, until. oooops their boy got wrecked. its simple, hatton dominates this fight and later on fights floyd and upsets him.

Clazaghe and Hatton are COMPLETELY different fighters. Jus caus ethey are both british or w/e dont mean they are the same situation. Hatton is more like a Jeff Lacy than Calzaghe, hes actually WAY more like a Lacy, and look what happened to him.

Look, Ladies. I know its troubling to see a brit come out on top but it's time to face the truth. Hatton is talented. You don't make one of the greatest 140 pounders of all time quit by being a 'no skill' bum like some of you guys make him out to be. His defence isn't great, but name one swarmer of the past 20 years that didn't get hit. He's white, he aint flashy, and he's a brit but that's not a good enough reason to hate him.
