  • Comments Thread For: Bradley: Brandon Rios' Only Chance is a Lucky Punch

Tim Bradley is not only the consummate gym rat, but is also keenly aware of what his opponents have to say.

The two-time welterweight titlist – and former 140 lb. champ – is hard at work for his November 7 showdown with Brandon Rios, with their bout to air live on HBO from Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rios and his team held court at an open media workout on Tuesday, making no bones about the means in which he plans to beat Bradley.

I can tell by Bradley's comments, that he's not really fighting Rios, but he's locked into a battle with his former trainer. He sounds like a wounded man. He really didn't get bad counsel in the corner, he just couldn't do what was asked. Bradley has more heart than he has power, and he needs to change his strategy accordingly...ASAP!

I have always loved both fighters and the energy, their heart and desire they bring. If Rios can get back to his early days of success and be that relentless animal he can win. But Bradley does have heart and desire and he possess very good skill and he has experience beating great fighters.

To me it comes down to who can show who has the fresher game. Im leaning toward Rios a little more because of all this trainer stuff with Bradley can mess with his game plan and his mind when things get tough in there.

Give me Rios in dramatic late fight stoppage.

Rios and Bradley have represented boxing prize fighters as well as anyone in the sport.

You don't hear these guys talking about A-side, or constant tuneups, or making obscene demands during fight negotiations.

These dudes have fought everybody put in front of them, no questions asked.

Thank god there not signed with al Haymon.

Damn right because this fight would be called a mismatch if they were

I don't like that statement although Bradley is free to say anything he pleases. It sort of sounds like an excuse in advance. So if Rios knocks Bradley out then hell, he just got in a lucky punch. Rios is gunning for a KO. Bradley will probably win but if Rios knocks him out luck will have nothing to do with it. Rios would have earned his KO win.
