Comments Thread For: Team Rios Disregard Bradley/Atlas Union As A Factor

There are many interesting sidebars to the upcoming welterweight title fight between Timothy Bradley Jr. and Brandon Rios. Their bout takes place November 7 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, with HBO to televise as part of its World Championship Boxing series.

Ironically, Rios is viewed as the wilder fighter of the two yet is actually far more consistent. He is who he is in the ring – a no-nonsense slugger who boxes when he has to, but lives for the knockout. He’s had the same trainer (Robert Garcia), manager (Cameron Dunkin) and promoter (Top Rank) throughout his career, and there are no surprises when he gets in the ring.

Yes he will be in top condition as always and ready to fight as always. They should be concerned if Bradley follows the plan he won't be brawling toe to toe he will box him jab him spin him angles combos fight when he wants not when Rios wants stay off ropes follow manny blue print box him silly rios one dimensional don't give him his one chance mindless slugfest

He can't hurt Rios - Hopefully it makes Bradley get off the game plan and goe toe for a little bit. This should be entertaining regardless. ****-**** Teddy!!

Both fighters have decent chins so don't see a knockout happening. Both took hard shots from Pac and Bradley took bombs from Provodnikov, suffered a concussion, and still finished. I don't see Rios hurting him to the point of stoppage. And we all know Bradley is not a big puncher so can't see him knocking out Rios. Still think it would be a good fight anyways.

I've always believed Rios to be better than the popular opinion. And against their common opponent, he was doing better against Chavez. Rios is a gutter, no nonsense in your face pressuring fighter. Bradley hasn't looked that great recently. I expect a tough fight slightly favoring Rios.
