    This.....

Winky would be too defensive and wouldn't score enough points each round.

It would be competitive, I just don't see winky being able to do enough to secure a victory

Hard to say. given gggs less than stellar opposition, it's hard to get a read on his true skill level. I'll take the proven commodity, Winky.

Winky had a good defense but he got hit and he lost fights. He was a 154 pounder most of his career. GGG showed an incredible left jab last fight. It was fast, hard and very accurate. He threw a huge number of jabs and he almost never missed with it. Winky would block it more than Lemieux did but some of those jabs would land and open Winky up for other punches. GGG has found a way to knock out his opponent 21 times in a row. I think Winky would also get knocked out or lose on points. Vargas won a close decision over a prime Winky and GGG is bigger and much better than Vargas.

Winky jab, one of the best of his era. Great defense, great chin, i'd pick Winky to win by decision.

It would be competitive, Winky wouldn't get stopped I'd be sure of that.

G monster is not bigger than Winky as far as pure size. They're the same height and close in dimension.

This is an excellent fantasy fight because Regardless of how good G monster is now, Winky at 160 was better than anyone GGG has faced. And he had a pretty good jab himself. A very good jab. If there's one fighter that could force G Monster backward, it's Winky. He had an unorthodox way of pressuring behind that high guard and come forward behind that exceptional jab.

And Winky got better after the Vargas fight which could have gone either way, save for Vargas doing well in the final round.

That's a good match up. Both seem to be similar height and reach, so little advantage in that regard. GGG definitely hits harder, is a more physical middleweight and can land telling, eye catching punches. Winky though is one of the smartest fighters I have ever seen, he can frustrate just about anyone and has a far superior defence. If Winky can out land GGG often enough and withstand the power, I think he decisions the Kazakh.

Good question.. I really respect Winky and he was a master at his style. I thought he edged out BHop by a hair despite Hopkins dirty tricks that night. Not sure about the fight at 160, it favors GGG. I think a prime versus prime matchup would would have Winky's fight night weight at around 164 and GGG at 170. I can see a fight where GGG builds an early lead and if Winky survives the first 6-7 rounds he makes it competitive and loses a clear decision.
