This is why I can't take boxing fans. He lost to Mayweather and Marquez. He was robbed against Bradley but avenged his loss.
why is PAC still ranked so highly and he is 3-3 in his last 6 fights

Based on a logical timeline, I got no problem with him being ranked high.
He was #2 before the Marquez loss.
When Marquez beat him, Pacquiao dropped while Marquez was ranked #2/3.
When Bradley beat Marquez, Bradley was ranked #2/3.
When Pacquiao beat Bradley, Pacquiao took back #2/3 spot (around the time Ward is considered to be inactive) and he didn't budge after his Algieri win and he maintained #2 before the May 2nd fight.
He then lost to Mayweather but just because he lost to the #1 doesn't mean he drops from #2 if no one behind him deserves to move over him. If Manny lost to a guy below him, sure then you can bring him down, but if the #2 lost to the #1 guy, how exactly does that suddenly make Manny to a #6 overnight? Logically, he should still stay at #2. And you can argue like only 2-3 guys since May 2nd who can jump over Manny in the rankings.Last edited by Raonic; 10-27-2015, 07:57 AM.Comment

Makes sense. I thought the OP was speaking about Pac's pfp ranking. Not WW ranking.Based on a logical timeline, I got no problem with him being ranked high.

Who, between Thurman and Brook, has fought an opponent better than Mayweather, Marquez and Bradley.
You always have boxing fans *****ing about the best not fighting the best, but people are perfectly happy with elevating fighters whose best wins are Guerrero and Porter. **** outta here.Comment

I think P4P rankings usually suck. So this is nothing new. There has always seemed be some "seniority" type thing going on with them that kept bigger names on it longer &/or higher than they should be.
If P4P were legit ranked they'd be so competitive from fight to fight that a bad performance could drop you off the rankings sometimes let alone taking a L. I mean this is the best of the best not the best in just one division. Yet it rarely seems a bad night without a L can even effect your P4P standing at all which just seems wrong to me.Comment

He's borderline top 10 on my list. I don't hold onto the sympathy aspect when it comes to rankings. That's with boxers or any team sports. You lose decisively, you move down a few pegs.. You get ko'd you lose a few more spots. Beating algieri and rios does nothing for me. Defeating Bradley gets you a few points, but that's that.
Again I have him on the border of being top ten. If I were to make a list, I'd probably name ten fighters that deserve that 10 spot before him todayComment
