Sht ggg has been doing that his entire career. So what would two tuneup matter?? It's not like ggg is EVER going to go up in weight! He'll fight Saul or cotto in early 2017 and by then ggg could even start saying Crawford is ducking... Win/win
    vs Cotto will never b...

    • I like Andy Lee, he's constantly worked his craft, become a more polished fighter, he won't fight scared vs GGG.

      I'd watch this.

      • Lee is predictable. He could not last even against Vera or Chavez Jr. The only way Lee beat Vera was by outboxing him in a very shook manner. If journeymen are knocking this guy out, Golovkin will too. But that is the theme with these MW's, they're in such a weak era that even the one's who have already been KO'ed by C fighters are now titlists. Same with Lemiuex, already lost to journeymen. The Journeymen-Leftovers Division.

        • Andy Lee has a title belt -amazing almost stunning

How Andy lee got a title belt is amazing but since Weak Lee is like the 1-D middleweight champ it is quite diluted and most laughable almost comical. why so many fricking belts? Give lee a potato and some Guinness and an Irish Cow/ Lass what ever the females are called in Ireland.

I like Andy Lee. He comes to fight for sure. However, Golovkin technically is much more skilled. He will grind him up within 8. If Lee did manage to land though, it could get interesting.

            • Lee gets killed by Golovkin, but it'll be a good fight for Golovkin to make his UK debut. HBO would show it like they did the Murray fight at a reduced cost and Golovkin collects the final belt.

Andy would be coming into the fight with the best momentum of any opponent with wins over Saunders, Korobov, Jackson, and a draw with Quillin. His loss to Chavez was in Texas, where Chavez wasn't drug tested and came in around 185lbs. Even then Andy was stopped on his feet by Lawrence Cole after winning all the rounds.

Don't need a triangle theory to tell me Golovkin would wreck Lee. Also, a triangle theory would be if i was using a common opponent both Golovkin and Lee both fought to judge how Golovkin would do against Lee. SMH

                • As usual,...enjoyable thread, but the reliable hater venom injected for spite

Good for you Andy, showing you're ready to take on GGG,.....but you had better take care of business with Mr. Saunders. Over-looking an immediate adversary can be hazardous to any boxers' career.
Honestly, I don't see Lee lasting more than a view rounds with GGG at best. More like "lights out in the second round". One thing about taller boxers like Lee,...while they may have a longer reach, they also tend to have longer torso's which make for bigger targets for left hooks to their ribs. It isn't out of the realm of possibility to see Andy Lee going down in the same fashion as Matthew Macklin. A warriors heart can only get a prize-fighter so far. Just ask David Lemieux. Yes this would be just more case of a fighter being out-classed by another. But kudo's to Lee for his display of courage. He is a good guy in the boxing world.
And now for the Haters!!!! Ward had his chance and muffed it up. Asking a 50/50 split of the purse was an insult to GGG. I mean really, %50 of the take to a dead-beat boxer who hadn't step into the ring in like what 16 months?!? He kind of deserved the counter offer of the catch-weight insult he received in return. Call them even now. Ward just wanted a piece of the pie Team Golovkin have built over the last few years. Pretty transparent as far as I see it. Actually, as soon as GGG unifys all the MW belts, I hope he does take a fight with Ward and schools Andre with a long dragged out 12 round beat down,.....much like he did with Curtis Stevens before CS called it quits.
What does the future hold for GGG??? if he can, and in all probability he will, once Golovkin unifies all the MW belts, he will be the literal "king of the mountain" and he will be the A side to every prize-fight he enters into. Just think of all the mandatory fights that will come with such a campaign. I've seen several potential boxers named in this tread to challenge GGG,.... and the most ridiculous name would have to be Lara. Look at the last few bouts of note he's fought in. Starting with the Angulo fight,..he was taking a beating and only won because Angulo incurred a scratched pupil from a pitty-pat slap/punch from Lara. Then the fought Canelo and cried at the end because Saul won on the score card. That happens when you run circles around the ring and decide not to fight,.....or box. Oh wait that's the Cuban style right?!?!?. As boring as a fight it was, Canelo deserved that win. Now Canelo demolished Angulo, but I honestly feel Angulo wasn't quite himself that night,...just an off night for ole 'El Pero'. Yes Lara is a joke and not very deserving of a shot at GGG. Canelo,...only because he might win a title, but GGG would destroy the both of them still.
I will have to say the recent talk from both Canelo and Cotto camps have left me somewhat dissapointed,....even moreso from team Canelo. Cottos looking to retire and I don't blame him one bit. He's made his fame and fortune and the time for Miguel to sit back and enjoy the fruits of his labor is upon him. But for a young Saul Alverez with a bright future, his direction is somewhat of a let down. I am a big fan, but should he win, he should defend his new title with honor and not resort to BS catch-weight tactics.
Getting back to Andy Lee, while he has admirable spirit, he would stand no chance against Gennady Golovkin,....GGG is just that much better than the rest of the entire MW division.

                  • I doubt Lee gets past BJS. He wants GGG now, because otherwise he will lose his title in an ordinary defense against up-coming opponent, which he will in December.
