This dude was legendary around my way (east harlem) glad to see him go into the hall if it goes well even if it is after death. Hope they do it big for him at Machito Way if and when it happens.

We now have over 70 championship belts in pro boxing, so you have to be a bit skeptical when a fighter boasts that he's beaten a few "world champs".
Lately it seems a fighter has to try pretty hard NOT to get into the BHOF.lol
I think every pro boxer deserves respect, appreciation and a pension but the hall of fame should be something special. IMO
Boxing is becoming a joke and boxing writers are the jokers. Fanboys, one and all. SMH

Honestly, I think over the last 15 years that the Boxing Hall Of Fame has become a popularity contest, and how much money they can draw into the place. I am not saying Macho does not deserve to be in, but I think that there are others that deserve to go in before he does.
