Better question, when was the last time Golovkin took a fight in which he was the underdog? Canelo did that. Quite recently, GGG had a good opportunity to do the same but turned it down.
I don't even think ggg needs to be an underdog to have a good fight. Justaccept a fight from someone with a pulse. I know of two guys who fit that description and want to fight him.

After the Ndam fight Golovkin fans mocked Lemieux's chances, saying Genady will destroy him. Then, they spent the next few months convincing the world Lemieux was legit competition. I've never seen a fanbase, as a whole, weave more phony BS. Which is a shame because Golovkin himself is cool. The fans just can't stand anything but devout reverence toward him.
