He tried to fight a guy from Australia who was ranked 31st by boxrec at 168. He was going to fight him at 175. The Nevada athletic commission would not allow the fight saying it was a mismatch. Team Ward has some nerve trashing GGG's opposition when this is the type of fight he tries to get. Now they are looking for a new cherry pick for Ward to fight.

We all know that he got rejected by NSAC.

Not if we catch a break. That crowd likely won't be receptive to his style or his weak opposition.

They say TBA is hungry. But ward is p4p #1 on mars the moon and earth. He fights the best. Word is that TBA will be sparring ron salsa

                  This whole ordeal is pathetic.

No respectable boxer will fight ward on this extreme short notice.

Ward and his team don't want a respectable opponent.

Hbo needs to have Ward on the ppv because they won't pay for it on another card.

Roc nation needs in on the ppv as well so they don't have to eat the loss as badly (assuming the ppv does huge numbers)

The Nevada state athletic commission will look foolish if they accept an opponent that is worse than Murdock, but that's all that they may get.

I don't know but it needs to be better competition than Murdock...Ward is too talented to be fighting guys like that. You got your 1 Warmup now get your ass back to work Ward fight Top Competition! You been gone for too long to be Picky!

RIP to Goossen but it is no more Goossen to blame for bad career moves and "Promoter Holding You Back". But to be honest I never thought it was Goossen as the issue, the real issue is J. Prince who people are absolutely Terrified of behind the scenes. I think that is what is really holding him back, it has nothing to do with Ward himself.

I do think Haymon would have made that invest in Ward if he wasn't connected to J.Prince whom Mayweather had issues getting away from years ago

I think he should skip out on fighting on that Card, instead try to get a Quality Opponent and Mainevent your own fight on HBO vs a Quality Opponent! While fighting on Cotto vs Canelo card would have been good exposure. Fighting a BUM hurts your brand even more!
