Comments Thread For: Mansour: Klitschko Wasn't Hurt, He's Worried About Fury!

Heavyweight contender Amir Mansour is not convinced that Wladimir Klitschko was genuinely injured when he pulled out of a scheduled bout with Tyson Fury. Mansour, still smarting from a controversial draw with Gerald Washington on October 13, told BoxingScene.com that he believes Fury may have his Ukrainian opponent’s number.

Amir Mansour clearly hasn't heard about Klitschko's wife suffering from postpartum depression

Strong statement from Mansour. I don't think it's fair, although I will say that the Wlad that fought Jennings would get beaten by Fury. We don't know why, but Wlad is always worse in the U.S. Than in Germany, so maybe that's the reason.

With regards to the injury, it's obviously not real. Anyone who's had a torn calf muscle will say that you can barely walk on it! For weeks! 6 weeks training on top of a torn calf muscle is impossible to my knowledge but of course Klitschko is always in tremendous shape, even getting into camp.

Its clear he was injured but maybe not torn calf, maybe a sprain.
WLads worried a while about Fury ever since Manny steward teased him. But a bit extra time to prepare wont harm Wlad, and him being the doctor he is, he will leave no stone unturned to get himself in shape.

Because something was wrong with his right hand, even tho he said nothing was wrong with it there was no reason for him not to use it..he didn't throw 5 rights that night and it's not because Jennings is such clever strong boxer.

                This.

I was big on something being funny about Klitschko & the only thing I had to work with was Tyson showing up Klitschko at the presser. I felt like the injury was for sure bull***** doe. Than the news came out about his wife & than I switched up my stance in light of more info. I think Mansour would probably have a different opinion if he knew of Klitschko's wife's issue.

This is probably the reason, and i can't blame him if he wife is in rehab for something.

You need to go into a fight with as clear a head as possible. I'm not sure if he'd have pulled out against a "lesser" opponent though.

I believe Klitschko knows he might be in a real fight here and if he doesn't feel mentally prepared because of domestic issues, i'm sure he'll take an extra month to prepare more physically and mentally. Every little helps.

I have this feeling that this fight might not even take place, even though it has been rescheduled. I don't know why. I hope i'm wrong.

                    Not necessarily.
Jennings is an extremely awkward defensive fighter.
Jennings spends the entire bout looking at his opponent's chest. Anyone ever pick up on that??? I didn't think so.
Jennings doesn't have a conventional style of attack either.
Jennings also has a monster reach to couple his awkward non-crowd pleasing style.

So you are mistaken buddy. The Wlad that showed up vs Jennings could look very different vs anyone else.
