Comments Thread For: Flores: Amir Khan Must Realize That He's The B-Side

Broadcast analyst for Premier Boxing Champions, BJ Flores, believes British star Amir Khan should stay quiet, sit back and allow the major fights to come to him.

Khan has been very vocal for the last two to three years in his pursuit of Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight never happened as Khan repeatedly got passed over, and Mayweather announced his retirement last month after winning a decision over Andre Berto.

I know BJ checks the forums when his name is posted on here.

How does it feel that nobody will ever cheer for you, let alone come out for you, as much as they did for these boring 112 pounders?

khan actually is the B-side to most of the top ten welters.he beat collazo and alexander then struggled with Algieri. he needs to stop ducking the tops and earn where his mouth says what his mind thinks.

Khan's stardom is an illusion. He's nowhere near as big name as he thinks or some people think.

I believe half the reason the Floyd fight didn't happen is because they realised Khan isn't what they thought. I think they thought it was going to be another Hatton occasion with legions of followers and hardcore support to make for a great event and then found out it's not the case. I'm from the UK and nobody really cares about him in 2015, if he fought Brook, Brook would be the fan favourite.

His star has been fading since he got flattened by Garcia and he hasn't done anything since to make it shine again, that's the truth of the matter.

I actually really like watching his fights. I don't think he's a great fighter but if he thinks he is then it's time to show it. The Garcia fight was over 3 years ago now. Now Khan is just a mouth talking for 3 years about how he's a top fighter, then prove it. It's time to **** or get off the pot. Lose the ego because your stardom ain't that big and there's plenty of guys ahead of you right now.

Why should Khan stay quiet? Ambitious fighters have always called out the best, whether or not they are the "b side". It's ridiculous reasoning by a ridiculous person.

Not so much he should stay quiet, but him making demands.

The dude gave them countdown clocks and threatened to pull negotiations if he didn't get his way

Sure he can, of course his opinion was based just looking at them and assuming that they're boring because of their size.

That's like if I looked at a picture of Broner and said, "He looks like trash, I bet he sucks at boxing." and just continually assumed that w/o ever watching any tape because he looks like he sucks.

Flores is of course spot on , never has there been a boxer with so little to show for the last four years but have so much to say.
It is also obvious to anyone with any sense that Khan is a compulsive liar , rather than go out and fight the top guys , all of which would fight him in a heartbeat ! he chooses to lie about his glass jaw and say he took Andre Wards best....when everyone knows they did NOT spar even one round !
Amir Khan has made himself irrelevant, had he have fought and beat the top guys Floyd and Manny would have had to fight him but he chooses to struggle against the divisions weakest and still demand ....what a plonker.
He tried to lie and get away with when he fought in Vegas 'it would be another Ricky Hatton type atmosphere' ...his words and how embarrassing with only a hand full of taxi drivers to show when he did.
Khan is a fraud and will always be a 'B' side to any decent fighter, here in the UK he is hated more than any other fighter has been and he has only himself and his mouth to blame.

                    A.
That was a good one! When you're being stunned by Chris Algieri, it's probably best just to keep quiet about your chin really.
