Exactly what I was about to post. People saw him last night and think he's action man. When he fights better opposition and has to be conservative, he'll get trashed by these same guys who have a tendency to bash fighters of a certain race.

Gonzalez, Golovkin, and Crawford are three top fighters that really showed up this week - I think fighters should be commended for not just being good defensively, but for being just as polished offensively, if not better. It's puzzling how a large group of fans can label moving and landing two clean jabs and a right hand as "masterful" and then turn around **** on anything Gonzalez, Golovkin, or Crawford produce while standing toe-to-toe with their opponent, as if it's that easy. There's a few really quality fighters today, and a good group of solid guys. It's a good time to be a boxing fan.

I agree, but would substitute Golovkin for Postol. Not that Golovkin is bad, he's just not as impressiveon a technical level.

I wanted to mention this, but I didnt, hehe. He is very boring outside the ring, in interviews etc... but inside the ring like I said, you can see in his face that he enjoys fighting, he smiles and he looks vicious, when he is landing his combos, while his opponent is on ropes. I think with time and HBO hype machine he can become a star.

I like the way he is outside of the ring. He grew up in Omaha. People there are salt of the earth, and very grounded. He is not putting on a brash public persona. Class act.

HBO is gonna have to hype him for who he is, not who he pretends to be.

No clinching or running, just pure boxing + killer instinct, you could see clearly that Crawford enjoys fighting and whooping your ass.

He seems to have a whole package: speed, power, stamina, footwork, jab. The only questionable thing about him is his chin, I dont know if it would hold up against punchers like Provod or Matthysse, but I said same thing about Postol (cuz Postol got hurt by mediocre puncher Aydin) but he ate some Matthysse's bombs and didnt go down...

The most impressive thing about Crawford is his usage of south paw stance, not only its pretty rare, but its also very rare when someone uses it as succesful as Crawford.

Bud is now officially added to my top 10 favorite active fighters.

He has so much confidence in switch hitting. This dude has been a favorite of mine for 4 years now. I also had the pleasure of watching him spar tim bradley years back.

He is the real deal. I fully expect him to beat up and out box pac..

I was referring more to this specific week, or the last 8 days, we've seen some really good boxing from Gonzalez, Golovkin, and Crawford, albeit against mediocre-good opposition. I think Gonzalez stands out the most, dude is absolute class. He's a walking highlight reel, he's that good.

Postol is a good fighter, no doubt. We'll have to agree to disagree on Golovkin's technicality however, I believe Golovkin is better technically than sometimes given credit for. First of all, I feel the term technical is too often misused - when you (someone) say "technically correct" there's really categories and subcategories to what you could apply it to. For example, nobody can deny Floyd Mayweather is technically correct, but there are times when he slaps with his hook or pulls back while throwing a right hand...Floyd does it on purpose to be cat-quick ad get out, but it's not "technically" correct. Nobody's going to teach you to throw a slap hook. With Golovkin, where he is "technical," you gotta give him credit. You don't consistently produce that kind of power with bad technique, Golovkin throws a grade A right hand, left hook and jab. Offensively, Golovkin is technically better than most fighters. And I think he's shown he's capable of being more defensively responsible, he just loses respect for his opponent's power and becomes more careless and more seek and destroy.

Lastly, I think Kovalev has proven himself enough to stand out of company such as Wilder and LSC (Cruz perhaps will as well with another good performance versus a good fighter).
