Did Jones Jr. ask Toney for a 164 catch?

Jones left 160 after Hopkins and fought at 168 a few times before the Toney fight (even fought Danny Garcia at 168). If that's what this thread is about then at least mention that.

Oh yeah.....they have to be big PPVs
Has the 33 year old Golovkin grown out of the MW division like the 25 year old Jones did?

        Doesn't fit the agenda.

You asked for the weights between the two on fight night. I just provided the link where I got the info from along with the quote.

Of course not. Just don't look that far back on boxrec and everything will be ok!

Jones, as you said, had been fluctuating between the super-middleweight and middleweight divisions.

He weighed 159lbs for his Middleweight Title fight with Thomas Tate which immediately preceded the Toney showdown.....so how had he "grown out of the division"? Whoops.

No, he just wanted step up and face a real challenge instead of wasting his career away on no hopers.

He defended his middleweight title against Tate in the fight before Toney so this is inaccurate.

Oh yeah great point, Jones fought 35-8 Thulani Malinga at 168, 12-7-2 Fermin Chirino at 168 and 25-12 Danny Garcia at 168 before fighting at Tate, which had its own reasons for being made. Jones had already stated he was staying at 168.

Besides Hopkins and Toney, Jones gained quite the reputation of making a living fighting no hopers on hbo.

The reason giggi doesn't want to move up is because hbo pays good for his mismatches vs rosada monroe and rubio
