you are reading too much into the p4p remark. that was just a comment said in passing in regards to the thread at hand, a fight vs two great boxers.

And BTW that fight will happen, Rigo camp said they want it to take it just give Rigo a couple of fights to get ready because he is been inactive for a long time. But it will happen and probably in 126 lbs
Fight night Roman and Rigo at closer in weight and size than Rigo vs Loma.

If Nonito can make the same weight that Roman and fought Rigo 15+ lbs heavier, why can Roman fight Rigo if he has fought a 116lbs already.
Lol and those bumbs who make Rigo hit the canvas have as good or better resume and way bigger size and weight advantage that all of Roman opponents. And don't forget 2 Olympic medals.

Rigo is the most overrated fighter in the sport.
I'm not saying he isn't skilled, he clearly is. But he also has a lot of flaws that people choose to ignore, i'm not sure why. He gets smacked around the ring and dropped by D level fighters too. The win over Nonito was good but he was on the slide, and also Rigo has rarely fought anyone even in the top 30, just once or twice.
He's a knockout waiting to happen i think.
Gonzalez is a far better fighter p4p. I think Rigo is a bigger guy, but not much
Then again i'm not totally sold on Lomachenko yet either. Again, he has a lot of skills but i think they were too hellbent on breaking a record with him about becoming a world champ so quick that he was vulnerable to someone with experience and he could be beaten. He's still only had 5 fights and i think seasoned fighters will still give him a very hard night. There's no shortcuts in boxing, no matter how gifted you are.
