From a business sand point HBO should really start thinking about getting a new sports caster. I actualy had to mute it a few times and I think it will ultimately decrease viewership numbers..

Lampley is terrible, he thinks hes a boxing expert n really he should commentate from a boxing fan point of view

Wish they had a non commentary channel, i cant watch it muted i like to hear the punches n crowd, or at least a few days later repeat the broadcasting without commentary with live sound wish id perfer to just have

It's just the inconsistency that is irksome. They go back and forth between being reasonable and getting giddy. Clearly, the gameplan is all mapped out between Lampley and Max before hand. This Summer they decided to be objective about Golovkin. But, in his PPV they were gripping his junk like he was a one-armed bandit. I understand that it's business but it's disingenuous. Thank god Roy gets to throw a wrench in that sometimes.

Mauro is actually better than Lampley at this point.

The problem with hbo nowadays is that lampley doesn't even do play-by-play anymore. It's basically three guys in the booth talking over one another. They're just talking non stop. I used to love the hbo team when I was younger with Emmanuel, big George, etc. but now it's insufferable. I just tune them out now and listen to the fight.

I've been of this opinion for years. I think Lampley is the voice of HBO boxing basically + I envision him being a good "company man" so they are gonna ride him til the wheels fall off. I think Kellerman will be running the show at some point (& to some that might be even a worse thing lol, but personally I've always dug Max regardless if I agree or disagree with him & I believe him to be a legit boxing fan unlike how I see Lampley), but not soon enough for me...although like I said I understand cuz Lampley is branded to HBO Boxing.

Yea man I loved big George especially when him and Lampley got into it during the barrera v Hamed fight
