Again, are you seriously trying to argue that Cotto uses CWs to gain an advantage? He's publicly and shameless stated that, you can read it in the articles I linked or by googling "cotto catchweight". Seriously, don't argue. The sky is blue. Let it go.

Cotto has only made 2 fights with Catchweights!!!! Martinez 159 (just one pound) Geale 157 (totally unnecessary catchweight since he would have KOed Geale in the same fashion anyways)..... It started just about a year ago June 2014 not a couple of YEARS..... Cotto has been followed and loved since 2004 for fighting everyone who was a threat to him. He only has a few fights left, a very small fighter for MW (Still carrying his punching power to MW), hence why he has been very "cautious" in his MW run. Dont let the GGG bandwagon blind you

2014 & 2015 are two years. The definition of 'couple' is two. Not sure what you're trying to argue.

And no one is arguing that he's a great fighter (I took him over Canelo) and a small MW. People dislike him because he stole the MW lineal (& belt) from old Martinez and is asking all of the MWs to drain themselves if they want to fight him. I understand that Martinez was just looking for one final payday and it's the way the business works, but it doesn't mean we have to like Cotto for asking for CWs every time he fights.

But Cottos size has no bearing on how badly it affected Geale.

Geale is bigger, he's not like Golovkin who can make 154.

you ask for a catchweight to put an opponent at a disadvantage, to weaken him. is that right? no but this is boxing not basketball, you put your life on the line so if you can get any edge YOU WILL . cotto wanted to fight a zombie, just dangle money in his face and he cant refuse. golovkin wants to weaken ward because at 168 he gets smoked, ward made dawson drain down too, pacquiao drained cotto, floyd drained canelo. this is the norm, the money man, the A SIDE, wants any advantage possible and in a sport where you can lose your life i can understand. people always bring up back in the day as if it was different, its always been this way. boxing is NOT a game.
