Comments Thread For: Evgeny Gradovich Pondering Move To Pursue Title at 122

It’s been four months since Evgeny Gradovich has last stepped into the ring for a prize fight. The first few weeks were spent lamenting the loss of his featherweight title and unbeaten record in a technical decision to Lee Selby. The rest of his time has been spent moving on and preparing for fight night.

The former champ from Russia – who now trains in Oxnard, California – steps into the ring this weekend versus Brazil’s Aldimar Silva. The bout serves in supporting capacity to Terence Crawford’s super lightweight title defense versus Dierry Jean at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Welsh Mayweather Lee Selby stopped the gradovich hype dead in its tracks. What a remarkable young champion Lee is.

Lee Selby is not that special though, & certainly looks nothing like a "Mayweather". He didn't look very good against a 115 pounder in Montiel who was past his prime. I would favor all the other 126 champions against him.
