You're like a cowardly dog that barks from behind the fence, but once in the open - runs with his tail between the legs. Of course you would like Cotto to avoid a beating. It is simple - just give up the belt. Nut noooo, he clings to it in the hopes to lure Mayweather with his money. At the same time avoiding the real middleweights. canelo/cotto winner do not need to fight triple g. he is a high risk low reward, boxing is a business right?

cotto is not holding the belt "hostage", they can strip him right now if they want, why won't they?

belt or no belt canelo wanted to face cotto. its a $30 million payday, remove the belt right now and its still the biggest fight that can be made in the sport.

triple g will need to make sacrifices. hes camping at a weak 160 hoping a pair of guys at a lower weight give him a lottery ticket.

what would benefit triple g more. get a vacated belt, unify a crap division and stay on regular HBO forever or accept the terms of the A side for a chance to become a PPV attraction and get a career high payday?

Lemieux/Golovkin PPV didn't do all that well. A fight with Ward doesn't even need to be on PPV. But if it is... Sure, it might not do big numbers, but the respect and recognition of beating a top 3 P4P fighter will be there for Gennady. It makes sense. I'm tired of people using this "oh he's not a draw" excuse. I thought Golovkin wasn't a business man? I thought he wanted the toughest flights? Well, Ward falls into that category. Man up Gennady!
