I like Golovkin even if he is a bit overblown, but lets be honest here, he'd lose a 12 round decision for sure. What Golovkin has become for some, since Manny was dispatched, is a vehicle to carry their hopeful hate that Mayweather will finally get his comeuppance. Golovkin's too slow and not enough skill, he'd never be able to adjust to Mayweather on his best day. (Too slow.) The only reason why this fight would happen is if it made financial sense and GGG's last PPV went terribly.

I think if it made financial sense Floyd would have already fought him.

      Speed has never been everything...

      Golovkin is:

+Heavier than any opponent Floyd has faced besides Canelo
+Taller/decent reach compared to almost any opponent Floyd has faced besides ODLH
+More power than any opponent Floyd has probably faced
+A better boxer than almost any of the people Floyd has faced
+Definitely a durable chin as we have seen

So, you really think that where Maidana and ODLH struggled, Golovkin would somehow do just as bad? If Golovkin and Floyd fought at 154, it would probably be a very close fight.

A "better boxer" against whom? Do you live on a chain of islands? Have a care, the last island nation that went all in for a fighter it ended their way of life. I see Golovkin missing a lot of punches and being pretty much a target all night long. Before GGG can be elevated to where you imagine he is he has to earn that in the ring in actual fights, and right now the guy's trying to collect hundreds of thousand of dollars for doing absolutely nothing.....

            This is off.

Monroe's bodyshots visibly affected gennady some. gennady hasn't been in any tough fights like Floyd has. How can someone confidently say he has better conditioning

Floyd has faced better opposition and overcome harder adversity than gennady. Floyd has the more proven heart.

            Thoughts?
How does this have bearing on their actual performances.

Will gennady recklessly play into the crowd and open himself up for additional counters

Mayweather puzzles him. Decisions him easy. Leaves Turdlovekin questioning life, and his generic Russian outdated version of boxing.

How many times we've seen Floyd beat an overhyped KO artist.

Floyd will never step into a ring with GGG. come on, you know that, Floyd is not a total idiot. Floyd would only fight GGG if he could drain him down to 150.

If this fight would happen at 154, GGG breaks Floyds fragile body and this fight is stopped within a couple rounds.

GGG would just smile while walking trough Floyds little ding ding ding pillowpunches, corner him and then its lights out.

Might decision him, but definitely won't be easy lol. Floyd will have to go life and death for 12 rounds.
