It seems that neither Cotto nor Canelo would like to go for a 12 rounds scorecard decision.
I wonder why -- a close or a disputed decision would allow them to take a rematch... on not?

Maybe they're just focused on winning the fight. Surprising, I know.

This fight, I expect to be one of the better recent ppv fights. It will be violent and with a high amount of skill. I've no clue who's going to win, but I won't be surprised with whoever does win. It's Cotto's experience vs Canelo's youth. An excellent match either way.

Was expecting this...I think Cotto will try to box in the middle of the ring, close to what he did vs Martinez...fighting from the outside, circling and attacking using angles...whenever Canelo gets in try to get really close to Canelos chest... Cotto is shorter w shorter arms so he will not want to give Canelo space to work him, then while the fights progress he'll try to make Canelo work when he usually rest...the question will he be able to do it, can Canelo close the gap and make it a midrange fight or pin Cotto against the rope. Or would Canelo bust Cottos face in the process or catch him...or will Cotto catch Canelo with something?...a lot of ?s ...very intriguing fight!

              Puerto Rico vs. MEXICO!!!

Not one boxing fan has said they're not going to watch this fight. Heck even a lot of women want to see this fight. Reminds me of the days going to ODH fights and seeing the most BEAUTIFUL women in the world there...

Unless there's a blowout or the PPV's tank. There is going to be a rematch. That's one of the reasons the fight took so long to get signed

cottos stamina isnt any better than canelos.

if cotto just stays on the outside trying to outbox canelo, he will lose, canelo is faster and has a tight defense.

cotto moved around ALOT vs geale but that was only for 3 rounds, I dont think he can do that for 12 without getting tired and sloppy.

Hes going to have to fight on the inside if he wants a chance to win

Same thing I have always said. Cotto can't box for the full 3 minutes of the round, he has to stop and trade. He has always done that. He may have a few successful rounds but eventually Gingerboy will catch him. And this is coming from a Puertorican. I'm pretty sure we are going to loose this one.
