Because he wants fights that will be a challenge going forward. Salido disgraced boxing with his tactics and low blows in that fight, Loma takes him out in six if they meet again. Salido is done

If Lomachenko beats Walters and Salido beats Vargas, I could see a push by Top Rank to make that fight.
