I came across this on sb nation and i just thought it was interesting. I always thought it was a shame tyson and mayweather did not have a better relationship considering they are the boxers of back to back generations. Just curious what you guys think its kind of old but I never saw it

It inferred that I had animosity towards Floyd Mayweather Jr. because of something that happened many years ago. This entire article is speculation and it's unfortunate that it would be released at all, especially the day before the biggest fight in decades.

lol ya not a chance that has anything to do with it. it sounds like mike got emotional over the ali comments thats his idol he still visits him and he let it get the best of him and he realized it. but if u remember leading up to manny mayweather all the sports writers were trying to take comments and make it seem like tyson hated mayweather and that they had this personal beef and all this kind of bs that was the story they were pushing. It was all part of the mayweather is the bad guy stories that were going around, thats why they kept showing him during the fight whenever mayweather had a good round

in all honesty though Floyd made a valid point....do you see the public allowing him to fight an 8 fight novice, gold medal or not and imagine if he lost....it would be a billion I told you so and he wasn't that goods floating around

Tyson fell for the bait with that out of context question. Didn't that question come out of Stephen A. Smith's one on one day interview with Floyd. Floyd never stated he was better than Ali, he was just justifying his reasoning that he too is allowed to say ''he is the greatest ever.'' Everybody knows that Muhammad Ali, who created the spotlight of trash talking in boxing, was referring to his greatness inside the ring, not outside the ring. Guys like Hauser, who devoted their writing ''skills'' to piggy back on Ali and make money of course has to defend Ali's image even outside in a political way. This is why Hauser has never fancied to write anything positive about Floyd Mayweather Jr. It would contradict his book sales still on the shelves today! lol common sense

Floyd has every right to call himself ''An All Time Great.'' That is fact by the resume alone, and no conspiracy theory fueled fictional writers like Hauser will dethrone that, like the whole IV issue. If Floyd wants to call himself TBE so be it, that's his right. It's America, Freedom Of Speech! Ironic huh. Frazier rocked Ali the same way Marquez rocked Pac.

People just hate it never happened to Floyd. Boxing, because it's nature is close to actual daily life, meaning people get heated all the time, is why insecurities and crazy opinions are found in boxing, like this forum. The best way is to always approach things truthfully, present double standards, and just think objectively. If there's corruption, point it out, and show examples! Such as padded resumes and rigged fights.
