He'll absolutely get credit and if he wins against a Golovkin that looks the same as ever, then he'll deserve HUGE credit.

159 is ok. He should take the fight. 157 - no.

Didn't Pacquiao get credit for doing the same to Cotto?

I agree here. If ggg agrees it shouldn't be anything lower than 158 imo

160 .both canelo and cotto need to grow a sac. If anyone is ok with this than ward should come down to 161 or 162 or 163 or 164 or 165 or 166.
            Plain and simple
And that's the funny thing. You have these losers (who post the same **** over and over like autistic kids) saying Golovkin needs to give in to Canelo's/Cotto's weight demands. But they slam Golovkin's team for saying Ward has to come down to 164. None of the fights should be catchweights, though. 160 or 168. That's it.

No, PAC was not a WW titlist, much less lineal champ

As for this thread-If GGG is the most lucrative option should he lose to Canelo, I expect cotto to take it. He has made it clear the most lucrative fights are what he is going to take at this stage of his career.

If he wins, he gets full credit.
If GGG can't make 155 or believes he'll be compromised, he's well within his rights to pass. Just like Ward ignored the 164lb catchweight. And Cotto's well within his rights to pass on anything higher but he has to drop the title then.

I started this thread and personally I don't care about Ward one way or another. My question is in reference to Cotto and GGG and no other fighter. That being said I don't think you were referring to me but I just wanted to be clear on my intentions with this thread.

In boxing money talks and BS walks. So I strongly believe that even if Cotto loses to Canelo if there is still interest ($$$$$$$) in a Cotto/GGG fight when Canelo vacates, Cotto will fight GGG and I won't be surprised if the WBC turn around and rank Cotto above all other challengers to GGG's new WBC title.

A catchweight is a catchweight. Excuses.
