As BoxingScene.com first reported WBA interim-heavyweight champion Luis Ortiz (23-0, 20 KO) will face Bryant Jennings (19-1, 10KOs) on December 19th from the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York.

The fight was first discussed for the Gennady Golovkin-David Lemieux undercard last Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York City. After no agreement was reached, Ortiz faced Matias Vidondo of Argentina and stopped him in three rounds.

lets see him go some rounds first before you star hailing him as some kind of eminent force in the division.

Oscar is jumping the gun a little there isn't he? Ortiz looked good against limited opposition on a very good stage. Lets not start claiming he will crush people.

I'm not a massive Wilder fan but he is a talented HW. If Ortiz puts in good work over Jennings then a matchup with Wilder won't be that far away.

wilder's record isn't that much better

the real problem is that after ortiz's best win, he failed a drug test so it didnt even count.. you gotta be pretty dumb and undisciplined to fail a drug test these days with all the good **** out there

Let's see how he handles Jennings first.. Although, I did hear his last opponents face hit the canvas in section 115 of MSG like someone hit him with a 2x4 lol...

But you won't make the fight Oscar because you said you're willing to work with anyone besides Haymon. So HBO, Oscar, and Bob are openly freezing Haymon out but Haymon is the problem?

actually Haymon won't work with GBP or Arum either. Only way he works with them is a purse bid. He wants to control the whole promotion and so do they. It works both ways

He is pretty bad at predicting. He starts to like his guy and all reason goes out the window.
I think he truly believed Lemiueux would beat Golovkin.
