Former world champion Antonio 'Tijuana Tornado' Margarito is waiting to get confirmation for his first fight in four years, which is being targeted for first Saturday in December.

Margarito has not climbed into the ring since being stopped in nine round by Puerto Rico's Miguel Angel Cotto at Madison Square Garden on December 2nd of 2011. Because of a serious eye injury, which he first suffered during his loss to Manny Pacquiao in November 2010, he was advised to retire.

It doesn’t make sense at all for Pacquiao to fight Matthysse unless De La Hoya is going to make it worthwhile for Arum to make this fight by letting him match one of his Top Rank stable fighters against Canelo. Arum doesn’t have anyone with a big enough name at 154 or 160 to match up against Canelo.
