Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Anthony Joshua Will Be a Threat Very Soon

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya was among the many who was very interested in signing 2012 Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua.

When Joshua turned pro in 2013, he decided to sign with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport.

Joshua has now racked up 14 wins as a pro and all of those opponents have been demolished in three rounds or less.

Joshua has looked unreal so fair to be fair , pretty much punch perfect

would be good to see him go 12 to see how his stamina holds up being so built

Maybe Joshua will go the Golovkin route and have no interest in ever going 12 rounds.

I'm not sure there's anyone who can actually last 12 rounds with him.

Let's not hype him up just yet, we don't want to end up with a David Price #2

I'll let you into a little story m8.......in 1991 when I was boxing I went to see a relatively unknown heavyweight face off against a fighter who was regarded as the better fighter......still to this day I think it's one of his best exhibitions of boxing I have ever seen from him.....it was Lennox Lewis vs gary mason.....I knew as I watched it this Gu would go onto becomes a great heavyweight.....the moral of the story is I am very seldom wrong when I see something in somebody....I see the same type of fighter in Joshua.....I'm not hyping m8 I genuinely believe he will rule the division in a year or so..yeah I know things can change but the boy has something ...trust me said the vicar to the choir boy lol

He hasn't fought anyone who has even thought about trying to beat him yet.

I hope he does become a star but I'm reserving judgement.
