The Golovkin haters like STAX, LarryXXX, and HansGruber will never give GGG credit no matter what he does or who he beats.

I would give him mad credit if he even agreed to fight Ward at 168. I really want him to do something like that because I like him but his career path is embarrassing. Losing to Ward would earn more respect from me than what he's been doing, not to mention ifhe could beat him.

Ward has the balls to go up and fight Kovalev with no stipulations regarding weight. Would be nice to see Genady sack up and go up to 168 for Ward before the man changes weight classes.

It's not GGG's fault that his resume is so weak for the most part but I just don't think it's fair to say he's some kind of ATG at this point of his career.
I actually agree with this too. GGG is really damn good. He's exciting to watch. He's been marketed amazingly, he's one of the biggest draws in the sport now.

But he still has a lot of work to do at 160 (Cotto-Canelo winner, Lee-Saunders, Jacobs/Quillin winner, though that won't likely happen). And he's probably not an ATG. Probably the best MW around these days though,

Fighting Rohan after Paul Smith is embarrassing. Unifying MW belts not so much

They don't like white/European fighters. Which is fine. To each their own. I also feel like they are threatened by GGG on a personal level. This dude is from
Kazakhstan and speaks better English than staxondeck.

Of course how could you not. If he beat down Ward Id be on here acting like Barcham or the poster Golovkin writing how GGG the modern day Kazak Jesus that walks on water handed down from the heavens to save the world. Actually I wouldn't go that far but I'd sure as hell give him his props

I'm a fan of both fighters but think GGG needs to step up his competition , he's proved he's head and shoulders above the fringe contenders in a weak MW division, so if he isn't fighting Cotto , Canelo , Lee( Stricly for that strap) the winner of Quillen / Jacobs or Lara ( which won't happen ) I'm not interested in anything left in his division.

For me that's a great fight and worth PPV with the winner being the 1 P4P wish it'd happen but it seems like right now K2 would rather GGG beat on over matched fighters then prove their claims of GGG being unstoppable.

You don't have to be a middleweight boxer to have an opinion on how good middleweight boxers are. Of course I don't know if GGG would beat Quillin, Lee or Jacobs just like the Ward lovers don't know if Ward would beat GGG at 168. NOBODY knows the outcome of fights that haven't happened. But GGG would damn sure be a huge betting favorite over Quillin, Lee and Jacobs based on his record. He has never lost a fight or had a draw. He has never even been in a close fight. He has the highest KO percentage in pro boxing. His record is vastly superior to the records of those boxers. Jacobs has lost by KO. Lee has lost by KO and Quillin was held to a draw by Lee. They have all been knocked on their asses while GGG has never even been hurt. In your first post you said GGG would get credit if he beat these guys. Well he can't beat them because they won't fight him. Knowledgeable boxing fans give GGG credit as the best middleweight in the world. I love having him in boxing and knocking out 4 guys every year. He has lots of fans who think he is great and he earned them. I could care less if you don't think much of him. That is your loss. I enjoy watching him crush his opposition and that's all I have to say in this thread. You can answer me if you wish but I won't be reading your answer. You lost credibility with me when you ragged on GGG for not fighting boxers who refuse to fight him.

Does Ward get credit for beating Golovkin if they ever fight?

Ward has the advantage of being taller, heavier by probably 10~ pounds on fight night currently, and slightly longer reach.

Or is it going to be treated like Mayweather vs Marquez, which was pretty much a joke of a setup fight?
