WBO light flyweight champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, who put on a clinical display of boxing to score a near shut-out victory against Mexican champion Juan “Pinky” Alejo at the StubHub Center in Carson City, California last Saturday, will return to the ring in Bacolod in March.
Nietes, the longest reigning Filipino world champion will make the ninth defense of his title which he won on October 8, 2011 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City which is near his hometown of Murcia.
