Comments Thread For: Hearn: Carl Froch Would've Only Taken Golovkin Fight

BoxingScene.com recently caught up with Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. The UK based promotional outfit handles the careers of many of the country's top talent.

Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) recently retired and we asked Hearn if he felt there was any chance that Froch may get the itch to return to the ring.

GGG is fetching ppv and now Froch wants a part of it, fair play to him. It's be a nice cash out fight for the best of the Brits, I give him no chance of winning I'm pretty sure GGG would bash him up even before retirement, likely the first guy to stop him too. Froch looked in pretty bad shape after Ward had finished with him, GGG would mutilate him.

I'd give GGG his props if he took this fight, or at least comes out and says he wants it.

this is not wat the article said...froch was only listin ggg as an option before retirement..if he fights froch how he did lepoo...froch wouldnt respect him one single bit..froch would come foward until he back is in the 2nd row...froch's mind would drift during the fight tho and he'll only fight in spurts and ggg would likely win on points..

Sure. Froch was going to take the GGG fight. Sure. Tell me another lie. I'm ****** and love to be lied to. The reality is that Froch would not and did not take a fight with GGG. Froch chose retirement and continued blowharding in social media. I can't blame Froch for taking retirement as he'd stand zero chance against GGG, but I do fault him for all his blowharding. But that's Carl, so I guess tht I ought to get used to it. As I read Carl, he'll be specializing in blowharding for at least the next couple of decades. See, he's really good at blowharding and likes it too.
