Its been a long time for the Mets in the playoffs so as a Met fan I can tell you everyone was watching the game.

Obviously it aint a Cubs situation.

There was a great Golovkin piece in the New Yorker yesterday that talked about this. Had a really good line about a sold out Madison square garden, while the mets game was on, was only fitting for boxing being that it's a niche sport. Here, the entire city it seemed was watching the Mets game, besides the thousands watching Golovkin packed into MSG.

Yeah, it seemed like that. GGG carved out a good niche despite Mets playoffs and Giants Eagles on MNF. The international card was a smart play.

I don't know if baseball and boxing crossovers much, but the Mets-Cubs playoff game was on that night, which was a pretty big sporting event.
