I saw these Jean guy when he fought Peterson. I dunno, wasn't impressed. Another one of those guys, like Jesse Vargas, that only has one gear...can easily have the opponents will imposed on them. Crawford hometown too, I believe, which means Jean will have to put it in another gear to hurt him, in order to overcome hometown judging. I just don't see it.

A glaring weakness that I see in many boxers is the inability to know when the deck is stacked against them, and what they have to do to overcome it. Their trainer seems to know, but it goes in one ear and out the other, it seems. It's an unregulated sport, with many shady en****** behind the scenes.

You can't fight Danny Garcia @ Barclays in Brooklyn, his second home outside of Philly, and ride a bike for the first 6-7 rounds, and expect that you're going to win the fight ! As Lamont Peterson did! You've already lost thone 6-7 rounds guaranteed. So even if you pummel Garcia the remaining 5 rounds, it's not even a guarantee that you'll even be judged to have won all five of those rounds ! A hometown fighter can get beat down, and if he wasnt dropped, still be judged the winner of that round! Heck, even if the guy was knocked down, a judge could rule that the hometown fighter staged enough of a comeback to score it a 10-9 round instead if 10-8!

You can be on neutral ground, but if you're the B side fighter, you might as well be fighting in the A side opponents backyard ! Instead of a hometown scorecard to overcome, you have an A-side scorecard against you!

It's the law of the jungle that is boxing, and the only surefire way to overcome this is to take it out of the hands of the judges and shady promoters! HURT the man! Put him on his back! Knock him on his butt! Stagger him! I see a lot of boxers in these disadvantaged situations, thinking they're gonna box PRETTY, and get fair scorecard and win! This isn't a fairy tale! This is boxing! Shadowy promoters, organized crime!

You have to be like Josesito Lopez, and send Victor Ortiz home eating soup from a straw, or you're not winning! Jean should know what he has to do. If it's an uneventful 12 rounds and goes to the judges-you lost, man. You lost. There's no way Arum is letting a potential Crawford-Pacman/Postal fight slip away, giving Jean a fair scorecard.

He has to hurt Crawford, put him down once or twice. If you dont...don't be up there with this shocked look on your face, because you schooled Crawford in the sweet science, and lost on 118-109 scorecards

Lucas would have been the coming out fight for Crawford, but Postol spoiled that party. I still believe Postol would provide the stiffest test in Crawford's career thus far, but he’s not a marquee name like Lucas. There's some decent opposition at 140 like Herrera, Vargas is also a guy with name value, and Provo (assuming he’s not officially on the PBC side now) would have all been intriguing match-ups.

It seems like the inevitable move to welterweight is coming sooner rather than later for Crawford. I'd like to see him get at least one big test in that division before stepping up against the likes of Pacquiao or Bradley.

TC needs a stoppage here. He needs to make a statement and head into that Iceman showdown on a high note

He should be able to get the KO in this one. Jean is decent but he has a leaky defense, one that will get exploited.

Trouble getting excited for this fight. Jean wasn't even in the picture at 135. TR has the best 140lber and 126lber and can't do anything with them.

There's so many great fights that could be made with Crawford if it wasn't for the cold war. Crawford/Peterson would've been great. Broner/Crawford would be a hyped event. I'd even be happy to see Crawford vs Jessie Vargas or Chris Algeri.
