Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: GGG Did Good, Gonzalez More Impressive

While it could be debated as to whether or not the middleweight unification between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux belonged on a pay-per-view platform, there was no debating the atmosphere that was generated with a sold out crowd of 20,458 inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The crowd was at near capacity during the co-main event between Roman Gonzalez and Brian Viloria - and their reaction to the action was electric. It only picked up when the main event followed.

He is understandably upset one of his prize assets got spanked and he is facing the likelihood of another one of his star names losing to GGG.

Gonzalez got hurt by someone who isn't a power puncher, more impressive?
      I don't know about that.

Gonzalez beat the much better fighter in Viloria. But GGG looked more dominant and impressive, no matter how you try to spin it.

Both guys looked limited but Viloria had absolutely zero power to his game, better fighter lmao gtfo.

He's a three time champ in two divisions and beat a lot of top guys. Name one top guy Lemiuex beat.

Even this older Viloria is a better win than Lemieux.

            Power isn't everything.

And I said GGG was more impressive, give Gonzalez some credit though.

They're of the same level if anything, hardly discrediting him considering Lemieux had been on a good tear recently til he met GGG.

if he fears david's power like that i dont want to see him vs quillen its a nother boring fight i guess

the guy gonz fough had more impressive one punch ko's than lemule...someone wasnt in tune with wat was going on...gonz stood toe to toe with a power puncher and put on a floyd vs gatti type performance only getting touched like 5 times in his 3rd weight class...that is respectable..and more imprssive thatn was triple duck did...
only gried i give roman is that he suck down to 112 and hydrates to 130..
