Really? Are you serious? You do know that defense and utilizing the jab predates Mayweather right? You can't say Golovkin fought like Jr. but with more power. That's a big difference, he has world class power! Furthermore, Mayweather goes to the ropes, holds, uses elbows and shoulders and gets busy with the shoulder roll. The big difference is Golovkin didn't go to the ropes. He used his jab and movement to control range to be able to land clean on Lemieux all night. Plus, he got the stoppage. When's the last time Jr. got a stoppage? Oh right, it was Victor Ortiz who was hit with a sucker punch. That's the only way Jr. gets knockouts against decent competition. Golovkin dismantles and destroys his opponent. You can't equate Golovkin's style against Lemieux with Jr's evasive style in every fight just because he didn't stand toe to toe every round.
