Why not make it in the summer then when there aren't any other major sports going on the casuals aren't going to give a crap once football and basketball start again. These guys are never going to be mainstream stars it's already a ppv fight.

Because as you can see the LHW has stalled. This is what happens. I know some of you just want to see the best v the best, me too, but that can't always happen. Boxing is a business. Things need to build cause the fighters want to get paid. IMO its one of the reasons we are getting Kov/Pascal 2.

They fight right now and its great for us but so many on NSB alone state that Ward is not known and i know Kov isn't so wheres the excitement to the casuals who run this sport.

Do you feel that DSG can just fight Manny Pacquiao in his first fight at 147? What you think would happen, would that really be fair to Swift? He needs a couple of fights before he is ready face the Thurman's and Brook's. Ward is no different, but I don't blame him, he is that good, that people just have such high expectation out of him that he is supposed to fight a killer like Kovalev after just fighting Paul Smith at 172lbs.

If these guys are never going to be mainstream stars then in no way is this a PPV fight now or ever. And I'm alright with that. Down with the PPV model!!

The guys he has beaten already in his career are way better than any one he could fight next at 175 other than kovalev he just fought in June, fighting again in November and then he needs two more fights before a kovalev fight?

Is this really a question? Outside of hard core boxing fans, who knows Andre Ward especially in the LHW division? He was hot for a minute but his inactivity fizzled him out just like its doing Mikey Garcia. They need to build up Ward as the big threat in LHW and Krusher needs more American exposure in order to make it a big PPV.

You should already know that Ward wants 2 or 3 tune up fights. Same reason he didn't want to fight GGG this year.
