Well nothing was stopping Ward from moving down 4lbs and GGG going up 4lbs, he can gain 4lbs to fight the likes of Paul Smith but he can't shed a bit of weight for one of his biggest fights to date?

    try again

Golovkin hasn't fought Quillin, Jacobs, or Lee (three fighters who have shown ability, while also possibly having holes). As a point of reference, Lemeiux was Golovkin's best opponent by far, and he gets crushed by all three guys and likely gets worked over by another 3-4 guys at the weight.

Andre Ward and Erislandy Lara, for sure (Chris Eubank Jr is posturing about wanting a fight, but I doubt that he's serious and I'm fairly certain that Matchroom Sport isn't in a rush to make that fight).

Beyond that, I'd be willing to guess that most super middleweights would gladly fight Golovkin.

Danny Jacobs can crack with both hands, can box from range, and has shown that he can fight (chin is susceptible to the massive well-timed shot, so he has a *****).

To try and act as if Jacobs can't fight is hilarious.

He asked for a fighter with that special quality, well that was Lemule. Hard explosive puncher but he got taken to school.

What makes Quillin anymore of a challenge. In fact Qullin loses to Lemule and gets decapitated by GGG.

Right now GGG just needs to focus on Canelo and Cotto. He should try to get both fighters in the ring and stamp he place in boxing history books.
.... you obviously didn't see Teddy's commentary after the Collazo fight. moving on

GGG deserves all the praises I agree w/ you there, But Lemuix beating Quillin? No way totally disagree w/ you. I'd love to see Quillin against GGG, provided he gest thru Jacobs. Quillin was & to some degree to me he's still a champ, since he never lost the belt in the ring...Shoot I'd like to see Jacobs against GGG also.

Well, GGG just added another belt and if he can get the winner of Cotto-Canelo, then he will get a solid opponent. It's right around the corner.

Actually there is; Golovkin was more than happy to fight Chavez Jr at 168 (who would've likely walked into the ring north of 180, tbh) and was more than happy to fight Froch at 168.

As the 168 kingpin, Ward has no rhyme or reason to give up a pound to Golovkin, especially after all that mess his camp was talking (and that's even before getting into discussion about the split of the money that Golovkin is looking for).

Beyond that, Ward didn't "gain" 4 pounds for anything; he'd been out of the ring for over a year, put his body through a hard training camp, worked his body down to 173 in camp (with three weeks to the fight), and simply didn't bother with putting his body thought any weight cut.

thought u were sharper than that.

Good for Golovkin that this freak is not a fan.

I heard but he still praise Thurman and considers him to be the next big star, while he discredits GGG. Both are great fighters and in a fan of both but it pretty obvious that Thurman isn't quite on GGG level yet and has a lot of learning to do before taking over the sport.
