I think it's more about the 5 minutes of recovery time than the DQ.

I mean Lemieux was on a stunning comeback at that time.

Oh, this is a good one. Did they pay off Lemieux to keep getting jabbed in the nose too?
      Lmao !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should of been deducted a point. Wouldn't have mattered, but should of been done.

I have mixed feelings about all this but I'm 90% sure he didn't do it on purpose.

In any case the referee should have deducted a point.

It's true that you can't really stop throwing a punch. I watched it over and over again and I think it was slowing down when landing. GGG realized he was doing something wrong.

Why would he do it on purpose? Give your honest answer.
The whole world is watching live, there's no hate towards Lemieux, outside the ring he's basically a nice guy and in the ring he's aggressive, concentrated. He has that killer instinct.

Pretty much this. Its not like he does it every second fight.

What are you guys going to do, keep on this pathetic line of attack.

                  Grasping at straws here.
Sucker punching is the only way Floyd can get KO's he clearly jealous AF of GGG who just straight up destroys people and makes them quit, Floyd can only dream of being as ALPHA (all caps because I mean it) male as Golovkin.

GGG is like the king of the jungle, he calls the shots he dominates the territory and Floyd is like the snake in the grass trying to hide away from confrontation.

Referee didn't jump in and stop it, I think its the refs fault more than anything.

The punch was already on it's way out when his knee went down. It would have been fair to take a point, it would have been garbage for him to get the Roy Jones treatment.

Point taken away or no it wouldn't have changed anything. GGG's jab was a pick axe on Lemieux's face all night.

Overly cautious Gennady still stops a top middleweight just jabbing him apart. He is still the boogieman at middleweight, no doubt.

All that said- the fight ended a bit more anticlimactically than I was hoping for.
