Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: Golovkin vs. Canelo - It Has To Happen!

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya seems very willing to match Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (45-1-1, 32 KOs) against IBF/IBO/WBA middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (34-0, 31 KOs) - if Canelo defeats WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (40-4, 33 KOs) on November 21st at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

    smart move

If Saul beats gennady, that solidifies his star status

If Saul gets beat up, it's time for Oscar to allocate gbp's resources to another fighter

canelo's face will be jabbed off...in a semi boring fight until ggg turns it up and stops him...

dont care to see the fight but its w/e..i want to see wardggg do like 4 rematches...that fight has no choice but to be highly competitve and a must see these other are just mismatches..

o yea degale and dirrels would fit into that mix with ward and ggg as well..
canelo fans please ask him to retire..he dont want these problems

Canelo has shown to have multiple ways to defend/attack against the jab.

Why? There is no shame in losing a fight, especially to the best middleweight fighter in the world today. People really have to get over this thing they have about a fighter having to be undefeated or it's over. Canelo is not undefeated now and another loss will not end his career. Losing last night did not end Lemieux's career either.

Does a baseball team fold up when it loses a game? A football team? Hockey team? Soccer team?

How many undefeated fighters are there in the UFC?

Pointless fight. GGG finishes Cotto and Canelo at the same night.

                  Make GGG - Ward

Oscar knows Canelo needs this fight to become a true superstar.
