but that's a terrible offer though...

why would GGG commit himself to fight a guy whose last fight was at 172, isn't a draw and won't bring any more money than any other regular opponent, AND who wants two tune-up fights in the meantime, only to eventually fight for 50/50? It's a non-offer if I've ever seen one. And if they were sincere, then it's just a bad offer. You want GGG to wait until the end of 2016 to fight Ward? Then he either fights two so-so guys in the meantime and loses some of his momentum with the public, or he fights another huge fight like against Canelo/Cotto winner and ups his value a bunch more, thus making the 50/50 split even more of a horrid deal considering Ward has little market value.

I get it, Ward is a great fighter who 100% would pose a threat to GGG, but I don't get how anyone can say that offer was a good one.
