cotto is never fighting golovkin unless he gets an astronomical amount of money, like 25 million or more...
Cotto will take the huge payday, then take a knee, and call it a career, earning over 50 mil in his last 2 fights vs canelo and ggg

Imposing deadlines never works for guys with huge egos, especially in a high risk situations. What they should do is to start looking for other choices.

I don't think they care about the WBC belt, Whoever wins on Nov. 21, he'll be the Lineal/Ring Champion

Most people who are actually interested in fighting Cotto/Canelo dont make ridiculous demands months away from a potential negotiation.

These are the same type of unnecessary comments they make about Ward.

To me, it sounds like they have already decided what they want.
right, they dont want $5 million plus and the lineal title, against a guy they will either completely annihilate (cotto) or beat convincingly (canelo)

Sure, they dont want that. lol

are you serious with this stuff?

Well Cotto and Canelo had to sign a step aside agreement with Golovkin in order to be able to fight each other, Loeffler has stated Golovkin was paid to step aside for one fight, sounds to me like Loeffler and company might have something in writing guaranteeing them a clear shot at the belt next. Whether the winner of Canelo/Cotto vacates in order to rematch that's up to them...but the first contract in place is usually the one that holds up in court.

There's been numerous statements from Loefller and WBC saying Golovkin is mandatory and is the fight.

There's even an article where it says WBC President was told by Cotto personally he would face Golovkin.

Why do people care about the match being called a draw? If it's a draw Cotto retains his title and is forced to face Golovkin next no matter what. A close fight doesn't change any of the agreements between K2 and the WBC.

Canelo will have a non title from a Goldenboy owned company

What exactly will that do for him.

Everyone will know he isn't the true MW champ, that he vacated the belt, and refused to fight the real MW champ.

If Canelo goes back to fighting 154, he should be stripped of that lineal. But like I said, it's Goldenboy owned, it would be meaningless.

Does Goldenboy want that noted everytime Canelo's name is brought up.

Which is why they are in the power position here

I guess you didn't watch the fight last night? When you sucker punch someone after they take a knee - you get labeled as a dirty, cheater.

If they didn't care, then why is Cotto-Canelo dor the WBC title? Why not vacate and save the sanctioning fee?

In other words it means something for them.
