Mayweather is in his fight division, Golovkin in his first. I'd love to see if Golovkin would have the same impact with his punches fighting in his fifth division.

We be crooks back at it again. Gave Cotto another voluntary. Said they wouldn't sanction Canelo Cotto without the winner agreeing to fight GGG. Now come to find out nothing was ever in place lol. Idk how gullible K2 is. The Canelo Cotto winner is very unlikely to fight GGG. They'll do a rematch more than anything before they consider it. I mean last night oscar said "I'll be make Canelo vs GGG" and then this morning says "Canelo will be ready for GGG....eventually" lol.

Neither of those guys will be pushed around by Golovkin.

Cotto will demand 155, and I think that Canelo will likely do the same.

Golovkin will have 15 days to accept.

If Loeffler & the WBC don't realize that Cotto will take his sweet ass time making a decision for ANY fight he makes they just don't want that fight to happen based on them saying or expecting **** like this.

But I'm sure this won't be a problem regardless cuz 1)Cotto isn't likely to win & 2)its easy to say you will do something & never actually do it, ask my mom about all those times I said I'd take out the garbage when I was a kid. And 3) this sounds like something the WBC would bend on greatly & we all know, including Loeffler, GGG, Oscar, Canelo, Cotto & probably even Roc Nation that a alphabet groups "rules" are merely suggestions that can be widely open to interpretation & alterations.

Coming out with comments like that it is hard to imagine they want the fight.

Unfortunately for GGG, Cotto and Canelo are big money fighters. They really don't need a belt to make big fights. Pacquiao does not need a WW title for a big fight. I know GGG prides himself on being a fighter and "not a businessman," but this is a mistake in this case. If either fighter (Cotto or Canelo) demands a 155 CW, I think GGG would be smart to accept, because he really doesn't have anyone to bring him the "big fight" besides Cotto, Canelo, and Andre Ward.

Golovkin will miss out on both of those fights.

Of course the cotto/canelo winner has a choice. Either its fight Golovkin or be stripped of the WBC title. Its quite simple.

That will significantly improve his resume.

Most people who are actually interested in fighting Cotto/Canelo dont make ridiculous demands months away from a potential negotiation.

These are the same type of unnecessary comments they make about Ward.

To me, it sounds like they have already decided what they want.

The last time I saw a demand attached to a deadline, with no offer of negotiation..... was back in 2010 when Arum faked that negotiation with Mayweather to get HBO funding and a date for the Margarito fight.

Arum fired off a ridiculous demand and gave Mayweather 14 days to accept.

I have never heard of a fight being made like that.

I would assume that an initial discussion would lead to a meaningful negotiation, the terms would be documented and both camps will have plenty of time to finalize the details before signing.

Loeffler has a strange way of doing business.

Coming out with a dozen different excuses justifying why Ward is not an option did not seem like the best way to negotiate that fight either.

I think that Golovkin has the exact resume he wanted.

After their fight on Nov 21st the winner has 15 days to decide whether they will defend against Golovkin or vacate. Very simple, open and shut. They elect to defend then the negotiations will start if not the WBC will strip the title and it will be up for grabs I am assuming.

Nope. Not up for grabs. If the winner vacates, Golovkin automatically gets the title. I would prefer to see a fight of course, if for no other reason than to shut up the haters who will be crying that GGG didn't win the title, he was given it. Al the while ignoring the fact that their favorite fighter was too chicken to fight him.

By the way... this 15 day deadline has nothing at all to do with Loeffler or K2. It is a result of Cotto ducking his mandatory obligations to fight Canelo instead of Golovkin. This has been mandated by the WBC itself as one of the conditions for the title to be at stake between Cotto and Canelo.
