Unfortunately for GGG, Cotto and Canelo are big money fighters. They really don't need a belt to make big fights. Pacquiao does not need a WW title for a big fight. I know GGG prides himself on being a fighter and "not a businessman," but this is a mistake in this case. If either fighter (Cotto or Canelo) demands a 155 CW, I think GGG would be smart to accept, because he really doesn't have anyone to bring him the "big fight" besides Cotto, Canelo, and Andre Ward.

WOW!!! Finally someone that knows Boxing!!! I was beginning to thing I was surrounded by RTards... GGG can huff and puff all day but he needs Saul/Cotto not the other way. If he don't like it he can continue crushing cans.

But your not correct even Oscar said if them asking for a rematch clause was holding up negotiations then they will drop subject if fight is good it would warrant one anyways those was his exact words bro article was on nsb

Ggg is a future hall of famer and should be p4p #1 now after last night's performance. Does the fight have to be held at the middleweight limit ? I hope so. It is a middleweight title not a catch weight title. Ggg will be the winner if they fight him easy Cotto or Canelo.

If Canelo wins HBO will bully GBP into a GGG fight the same way they did with Lemieux. Remember Oscar saying David had to fight his mando first, although there was not mando at the time, so David should have been allowed a voluntary. There were a lot of complaints after GGG/Monroe. HBO was not going to pay another licensing fee for GGG vs Stumblebum, He'd have to go back to Monaco to fight a non-televised fight against Heiland or someone. The N'dam fight played out perfectly. Knocking N'dam down 4 times (Quillin knocked him down 6 times and N'dam is on his ass so much you'd think that Tecate imprint on the back of his trunks was a sponsorship) led people to believe David was better than what he really is when in fact he's on Monroe's level.

HBO is not going to allow Canelo to fight anyone else while their star has to sit and wait for Canelo to fight a voluntary. Where is Oscar going to go? He's already burned bridges with Showtime. He has no leverage.

So if Canelo or Cotto refuse to fight GGG next where does GGG go from there?

If HBO won't do business with Haymon, or vice versa, that eliminates Quillen, Jacobs, and Lara. If he won't fight at 155, that "might" eliminate Cotto and Canelo. What's left? Andy Lee and Billy Joe Saunders. The only thing that can help GGG is 1 million PPVs. That would turn the tables real quick!

A rematch between canelo-cotto brings in more money especially if it's a close fight next month or controversially

If Canelo wins, Oscar could drop the lawsuit vs. Haymon, and Mayweather vs. Canelo II for the WBC MW Championship on Cinco De Mayo 2016 will be HUGE, and since Mayweather's contract with SHOWTIME is over, HBO could carry the PPV.
