NEW YORK - No big drama this time for Gennady Golovkin. Just a lot of big punches as he dominated his middleweight title fight with David Lemieux.

Golovkin battered Lemieux around the ring Saturday night on the big stage at Madison Square Garden, landing punch after punch before the referee mercifully stepped in and stopped the fight in the eighth round. He remained unbeaten in 34 fights, and stopped his opponent for the 21st straight time.

Waiting for the 20/20 vision clowns who said Margo fight wasn't stopped when it should have to come on here and tell us how this fight was stopped too early and Lemieux was about to KO Triple G...

Things must really suck for fan boys like you who have to contradict your positions for your favorite fighters all the time...

One minute Cotto and Canelo fans were crying about catch weights, but the talk has ceased now that the new 155 lb division has been established and both are hiding from full 160 lb fights...

If the next fight isn't Triple G v. winner of the 155 lb super bowl, then I hope the word duck and coward is used often...

Nah CoWard is ducking Kovalev and using Triple G... CoWard even had to run to BET because HBO said..no more cherry-picks until you commit to a Kova fight...

Ward is doing the same thing Canelo and Cotto are doing to Triple G to Kova (hiding at 172 rather fight at 175)..but even worse..he actually got punked off the HBO Network

De La Hoya's predictions = the guy I promote at the time will win..just like any other promoter's opinion if you ask them...

We all knew a guy who lost to the two opponents he lost to wasn't beating Triple G unless he landed the perfect shot at the perfect time...

Lemieux cashed out at 160 and will move up to KO more cab drivers at 168, while making a few mil... that's the sport nowadays..

This guy could retire undefeated, with all KO title defenses. He is for real. The haters need to shut their miserable holes. There can be no criticism for GGG. He's destroyed everyone he's fought and will clean out the division. We have weight classes for a reason, he should stay in his weight class! He's a small middleweight no need to fight guys 20 pds heavier after hydrating.

                    Great performance by GGG...

This was a great performance from GGG. This was a legacy fight for him and he shined. I knew he would TKO DL but I didn't know if GGG's defense was good enough at this level. Last night, we found out how smart he is and how well he can defend. To all of the idiots comparing GGG's boxing to Floyd's, go kill yourselves! Floyd is GAY and afraid to engage and give us fans what we want. He is afraid to let his hands go because he can be hit. GGG doesn't care. He's a really smart aggressive fighter. Good ring IQ. Good footwork. Excellent jab! I'll say this, If Floyd had fought him at 154lbs, GGG would've DESTROYED him! His jab alone would hurt Floyd. One of Floyd's main weaknesses, is his inability to avoid a good jab. Smh. Anyway, the stoppage was unnecessary. Both fighters are champions. The Ref was too compassionate to be a ref. Saying things like, "show me something", when he had no reason to say that. Let a fighter go out on his shield. Period. DL could have continued. As for where GGG goes from here. He is a true middleweight. He doesn't have to move up or down because past champions have done so. His frame seems to be perfect for 160lbs. It is not meant for every fighter in every weight class to move up. There is a such thing as a career middleweight, welterweight, flyweight, etc. He should continue to unify the titles. That would be a huge accomplishment. As for a fight with Ward. He should forget that idea. Ward is too BIG for GGG and would beat him up. The fight for Ward is at 175lbs, against SK. And just for the record, both Cotto and Canelo have their eyes on GGG. They are true throwbacks. They WILL fight him. They are not scared of him and will give him a good fight. Canelo can beat him though. After he KO's Cotto next month, that's the next SUPER fight. You heard it here first!
