It was a mismatch and always will be. That's not to take anything away from GGG. He went in with another world champ and took his belt, job done. David just doesn't have the skills to stand a chance in this one. He needs to fight the likes of Geale, Stevens, Macklin, Saunders, Korobov etc. He might be able to mix it there and add some decent names to his record.

I just don't think anyone at MW has anything for Golovkin, even the winner of Cotto/Canelo. I don't mind that he wants all the belts if that's his goal but if he does that with ease then he has to move up. I don't even think he has anything to prove at MW even now but I understand there would be money and a belt in fighting the winner if cotto and canelo, not that I expect any of them or at least their teams to make the fight. They will be stripped or vacate.

Begging for Floyd that's 2 division bellow him. Why not be like the great minority and move up......
actually american fighters like floyd have the luxury of being boring. hbo will show them anyway because they are american and draw fans. foreign fighters like pac and ggg have to not only be good but be exciting for hbo to show them.

I felt it came at the right time. Lemieux had plenty of chances to show that he was still alive but he failed to convince. This is a sport, not a damn gladiatorial amusement with ****** fighting to the death.

Lemieux sure was looking at Steve Wills awfully hard before Willis stopped the fight

Lemieux thought some of the rounds were close...damm he took more brain shots than I thought! Good thing the fight was stopped before he started believing he won every round.

                Sour g****s.

The stoppage might mean Lemieux can actually continue his career. He should be thankful instead.

I have no real problem with the stoppage.

Its not the end for Lemieux, there are plenty of good fights out there for him.

No David, the stoppage was fine, the problem was u couldn't defend against a jab, a fighter can slip weave or parry that punch, u showed that u can't do anything, GGG was popping u at will and u telepgraphed all ur punches, power alone won't do at this level especially with a below average chin, work on ur fundamentals first before u fight on that level again, otherwise u r not going so far and u will end up taking a lot of punches in boxing.
