Melee question to anyone who knows the Boxing Rules?

I was just reading another boxing site and somone wrote into one of the writers on the question asking forum and the guy said that when Zab hit Floyd low, the ref called time, and therefore Roger could come into the ring and that its not illegal.

I thought to myself that was a good point but I didnt know if thats what the rules are or not.

Does anyone know the rules and is your corner man allowed into the ring if the ref calls a timeout? If it is then they might cant suspend Roger long or fine him to much if any at all because he didnt throw the 1st punch or anything but again, I dont know if thats the rule or not.

I will check in my rulebook, but it seems that the corner still must remain off of the apron and ring or risk disqualification. Ill double check the rule.

no one is allowed in the ring, except during the break and only one person is allowed from each corner. no other trainer has ran in there after a low-blow. lots of trainers wait when they are in the ring ligaly to complain to the ref

I'm sure this has been posted before, but anyway:

Ratner said Nevada rules don't call for an immediate disqualification.

"I read the rule with my attorney general and, to paraphrase it, it says a referee 'may' disqualify a fighter if someone from his corner enters the ring," Ratner said. "There is no automatic disqualification. It may be that way in some states, but the rule is not written like that in the Nevada statutes. Richard could have disqualified him, but he and I and my commissioners talked about it and he was not disqualified."

While were checking rules can someone please clarify this for me. After Zab hit Floyd low one of the commentators said "Floyd will be given 5 minutes to recover, if after that time he still cannot continue Judah will be awarded the victory". Please tell me this is not true and was just a mistake on the commentators part. If that is true it would have to be the worst rule in boxing. If you are losing you just just rabbit punch or low blow you opponent hard enough to disable them and then be awarded a victory. Thanks in advance for your help.

No, its not true. If a fighter is hurt by an illegal blow, if he is unable to continue he is automatically declared winner. Look at the Roy Jones vs Griffin fight. Griffin claimed he couldnt continue and was awarded a Win and Jones was DQ'ed.

The whole thing is under referre discretion, so I don't know what they trying to pull of here, if the ref didn't call the disqualification in the ring, I don't know how some photo's can overturn the decesion. What's next instant replay in boxing? The ref's call it how they see it in the ring. If anything he could have disqualified Judah for 2 pathetic illegal intentional blows, but he decided to allow the fight to go on and his decesion should be respected and not overruled. If its overruled it just shows the corruption always surrounding Don King and I'm sure he payed some people off already to get them even considering changing it to DQ.
